New representations of Green function for some widely used types of waveguides are obtained. Earlier, these Green functions are presented either in form of series with nonuniform convergence or in form of integrals containing Hancel functions, which are reduced to asymptotic expressions in far zone. This paper presents physical and mathematical model and investigation of electromagnetic properties of composite material made of straight and curved conducting resonance inclusions placed into isotropic media and forming periodic lattice. The effective constitutive parameters of the composite material are found. It is revealed that on resonance frequency real parts of permittivity and permeability of such media can assume simultaneously negative values. The problem of reflection and transmission of plane electromagnetic wave through a sequence of layers made of such composite material is solved, numerical results are presented

By using the approach that is based on applying the Kontorovich-lebedev integral transforms method and a semi-inversion method an excitation boundary problem for a cone with periodical longitudinal slots provided that cone placed at an impedance plane is investigated. It is showed that the problem under consideration is equivalent to solving a system of linear algebraic equations for Fourier coefficients of electromagnetic field components. Analytical solutions are obtained for a semi- transparent cone and special plane impedance. Impedance plane effects are studied

Conditions of destruction of such trains as a result of appearance of chaotic instabilities have been analyzed. In this paper, the energy spectrum of electrons is investigated for the superlattice with continuous conduction band edge. The comparison with conventional superlattice has been realized. It is shown that in the investigated structure the energy spectrum has band structure which is caused by periodic position-dependent effective-mass. Moreover, position-dependent effective-mass leads to additional effective potential. The Bragg reflection for electrons in ballistic limit can be observed in the superlattice with continuous conduction band edge. It can be used for effective Bragg confinement of carriers. For the first time the investigations have been carried out for the case when the superlattice without band offsets has finite number of periods. The obtained results shed light on new applications of the investigated structures for THz frequency range

The condition lead to oscillation due both region and oscillation efficiency have been determined.

This change is caused by rectified diffusion of the dissolved air mass into bubbles. The dependence of the measured apparent capacitance of selectively doped AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures on the amplitude of the measuring ac voltage is calculated numerically. An expression that gives the measured apparent capacitance as a function of the true capacitance and the above amplitude is derived. Using this expression and the results of the above numerical calculation, it is shown that capacitancevoltage characteristics of selectively doped AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures, which feature steeply dropping regions, may be measured at moderately small amplitudes of the measuring ac voltage (of the order of 100 mV) at the expense of taking measurements at two different amplitudes

In this work the excitation of a semi-infinite perfectly conducting cone with periodic longitudinal slots by an impulse radial source problem is investigated. The solution of the well-posed initial-boundary problem is found using an analytically numerical method based upon Green function and Meler-Fock integral transforms applying. It is shown that the original electrodynamic problem is equivalent to the one of the Fredholm linear algebraic equations system of the second kind solving. Analytical view of the solution is derived and the graphs illustrating the field dependence on the aperture angle and angle slot width are presented

HF signal focusing due to linear and nonlinear wave disturbances occurring during monostatic ionospheric sounding is discussed. A technique is developed for estimating signal amplitude variation due to focusing based on beating amplitude measurements during significant Doppler frequency shift events. The intercomparison of measured and modeled variations in beating amplitudes, the focusing index, and Doppler frequency shift show a qualitative agreement. The simultaneous analysis of variations in the beating amplitude and the Doppler frequency shift makes the interpretation of measurements more definite, e.g., it permits the isolation of large scale disturbances traveling at approximately 1 km/s

A theoretical investigation of the emission current temperature dependence of the auxiliary cathode in magnetrons with cold secondary-emission cathodes is performed. Different methods of providing a spatial-charge limited emission from the auxiliary cathode are studied in order to eliminate the temperature dependence of auxiliary cathode thermionic current. A new design of the auxiliary cathode is proposed, which is supposed to provide a greater stability with respect to the cathode temperature variations as compared to the currently manufactured magnetrons.

Two planes of two-dimensional periodic rectangular metallic string elements located on both dielectric surfaces and connected by cylindrical conductors. The measurements of dependence of grid transmission index on frequency and polarization are carried out. The measurements were made in frequency range 26-38,8 GHz. In work it is shown, that the problem of existence of spurious resonances in problems of diffraction waveguide waves on various discontinue in waveguides is connected with incorrect representation of matrix elements of system of the linear algebraic equations (SLAE) which lead to features at their numerical decision. On an example of a problem of diffraction waveguide waves on the -branching of rectangular wave guides it is shown, that spurious resonances correspond to resonances of area of connection of waveguides. This computing mistake can be rather simply corrected due to correct representation of matrix elements SLAE which has no features. Results of calculations have shown efficiency of such approach for the decision of problems on own oscillations and problems of diffraction on the -branching of hollow wave guides, and tees with dielectric and ferrite resonators in the field of connection of waveguides.

Acoustic emission of a zone of the destruction formed during influence of pulse laser radiation on a surface of metal is considered. Dependence of the time form of acoustic fluctuations on parameters of an irradiated material and the law of increase in depth of a crater was estimated. It is revealed, that at action on a surface of the copper sample of a laser impulse duration 20 ms time of growth of a zone of destruction makes approximately 40 ?, that will well be coordinated with time of existence of plasma formation at a surface of the target exposed to laser-plasma processing (50 ms).

Coefficient frequency conversion (KFC) diodes with intervalley transfer of electrons based on GaAs in a wide range of frequencies is investigated. It is shown that the threshold voltages of the KFC in mobility 8000 sm2/(Vs) (GaAs) more than the KFC in 1000 sm2/(Vs) mobility (without NDC) in 5 times. At the further increase voltages in the mobility ratio of KFC 8000 sm2/(Vs) to KFC for 1000 sm2/(Vs) mobility decreases (at 10 - 12 kV/cm is about 2, at 20 - 30 kV/cm ratio KFC close to unity). Take into account the inertia of the redistribution of electrons between the valleys of the conduction band of GaAs. It is shown that the transformation frequency conductivity GaAs diodes is possible at frequencies exceeding the maximum frequency of generation in the diode mode of a uniform field.

The new method consists in the simultaneous analysis of wavelet spectrum and dynamic energograms of the continuous wavelet transform. Diffraction problem of H1m waves by the system of circular slots in a hollow inner conductor of a coaxial waveguide using the operator approach is considered. The diffraction problem by the gap of a semiinfinite circular waveguide placed coaxially inside a circular waveguide of lager radius is solved as the key problem. Dependencies of the transmission and reflection coefficients of bounded and semiinfinite periodical structure versus wave number and period of slots displacement are analyzed.

The dependence of electrical dc conductivity of KD2PO4 (DKDP) single crystals on the dose of ?-irradiation is investigated. The conductivity is found to decrease exponentially in a dosage range of 3.0 1022.8 104 Gy. The temperature dependences of the conductivity are described by the exponential law. The pre-exponential factor and activation energy values of conductivity are determined for the crystals irradiated with various doses. Analysis of the dose and temperature dependences shows that the radiation-induced decrease of the conductivity is associated with the decrease of L-defect concentration in the crystal. The concentration changes in accordance with the law of first order kinetics. Possible mechanisms of the L-defect concentration changes under gamma -irradiation of crystals are discussed.

Optical properties of both symmetrical and asymmetrical modified Fibonacci structures of chiral and achiral isotropic layers are studied. The localization and polarization transformation of linearly polarized waves are considered. The effect of the phase shift compensation in the reflected field is shown in the case of an asymmetrical modified Fibonacci multilayer and on the basis of the developed software the series of computing experiments testifying to perspective of use of such structures in optical systems.
